Annie turns one!

I can't believe it was a year ago that I was heading to the hospital to welcome Ms. Annie to the world. I will never forget how wonderful it was the first time I saw her and it continues to be wonderful every time I look into that sweet face. It has been such a fun year watching her grow and develop. I am obsessed with her loving and enthusiastic personality and we have so much fun together. Here is a picture of her when she was born and a picture now... it's just amazing!

Water Babies paying off...
Last fall I did an eight week water babies class with Annie and had a blast. It was just fun to spend that time with her and of course share my love for the water. I never imagined she would actually remember what she learned. She now practicies blowing her bubbles every night in the bathtub. She started this all on her own without any prompting at all. I am definitely going to sign us up for water babies again this spring and at this rate she'll be ready for Uncle Bard's swim team by this time next year! I'm rotting for a backstroker!
Look who's walking just before her 1st birthday...
I am so proud of my little bug! She is off and loving every second. Ms. Zay suggested I get her some hard soled shoes to make it easier for her to balance and we went to KMart on the way home and picked some up. We even put them on in the store and practiced all around... haha. You can only walk back and forth from the den to the kitchen in my townhouse so many times.... KMart was a treat! Please take note in the video of my state of the art duck tape baby proofing. I keep thinking one of these days I will find the time to break out the old drill and install the baby proof latches but it hasn't happened yet. Yikes!

Holla at Me
I have heard many moms talk about their children entering "language explosion" where they all of the sudden are obsessed with communication. Annie has always been a talker but I now understand what the explosion is all about and it is the most fun! She has things to say from morning to night and loves for you to talk back to her. She is especially obsessed with the concept of talking on the phone. I have caught her using her bink as a phone, sunglasses, and even a fork but she tells me the phone really works best. Looks like I have an unlimited plan in my future!
Our New Years Celebration
I wanted to share a few pictures of Annie and I on New Years Eve. Thanks to Aunt Jane we had a fresh bottle of Welches sparkling grape juice and some fun plastic flutes. Annie and I toasted (she had eggs in her flute... haha) and welcomed in the new year (at 6:30 a little early). Eggs, pancakes, welches and Annie - it was my favorite New Years yet.

A New Year... A New Blog
Annie and I are starting out 2010 with a brand new fresh blog to keep you posted on what we are up to. We have a lot of fun things planned for the year. First is the Roast and Toast, a trip to Tenessee in March, a trip up to Richmond at some point to meet baby Lena, and lots more! Here are some fun pictures from last year too.
